Meet our Attorney

Deborah L. Raymond

Ms. Raymond is a native Southern Californian, born and raised in San Diego. “When I was growing up, my working class parents struggled with their finances and when legal matters arose we were often unable to afford legal counsel to help protect our rights. Since both my parents did not graduate from high school nor have an opportunity to go to college and English was my mother’s second language, they were often unfairly taken advantage of. Seeing the inequities of my parents struggles inspired me to go into law, and particularly into practicing bankruptcy and consumer protection law, so that I could help protect families, like mine, and others in their struggles with financial difficulty.

Additionally, I have represented and continue to represent clients in cases involving violations of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”), the Federal Truth In Lending Act (“TILA”), the California Invasion Of Privacy Act (“CIPA”), the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), and the Federal Telephone Communication Protection Act (“TCPA”). By combining both my bankruptcy skills and litigation experience, I am able to provide my clients with a well-rounded legal approach in order to maximize the legal protections available to them.”
